descent into miniature madness began when my young daughter and I were
searching for a hobby we could enjoy together. I purchased a "kit"
house and as the construction progressed, realized I was not excited
about the choices of components I had. With my daughter cheering me
on, I created or "embellished" the components I had. Thus
giving me confidence to try my talents towards new challenges. I created
pocket doors for the kitchen and dining rooms, and some of the house's
furnishings. As my daughter's interest waned, mine flourished. In seeing
my daughter's house, which sat proudly in our family's great room, many
visitor's would comment and admire it's detail. Some of my favorite
things to create are replica's of actual antiques and family treasures.
These are pieces that are especially dear to most collector's.
